Philosophy & vocation
Since it formation in 2006, Aquafim has steadily grown and has progressed from the original production concept of dosage cubes. Especially prominent is the integrated functionality of aquariums, which enables, in our view, for the first time the experiencing of the underwater World.
After many years of research, we have developed a new aquarium sytem, with which we have realized our vision. Aquafim has grown into a company group, where all competences from service provider of planning and conception to aquarium manufacture are represented.

The basic new principle allows...

+ Constant water level even when water evaporation takes place, adding decorations, gravel and plants. 

+ Constant water level even when introducing fish in the transport container to bringing the temperature into line.

+ Staged Bio chamber filter with automatic dosage functions. Freely configurable even with an operating pump.

+ Constantly clean water surface, never again mould. Permanent surface drainage, safe for all fish and shrimps.

+ Adjustable flow keeps the aquarium bottom free from debris and food particles. Filter return flow adaptable to layout and field of vision.

+ Compatible to all standard CO2 sources. Pressure-less access for BioCO2 (sugar water and yeast), pressurized canisters or air pumps are installed.

+ Permanently representative thanks to stabilized water bodies.
Speciality: CO2 night switch by means of a timer with buffer chamber within the filter.

For years I have been brooding over, how it would be possible, in a new technical piece of equipment for aquariums to build and synchronize not one single function, but several at the same time. At first I used the usual aquatic technical items, but had to, over the years, start from scratch again and again. The functions were always not quite, what I was looking for. In the end I was left with a circulation pump and a heater.


The dosage calendar


The Tube will, depending on the condition of the aquarium, be equipped with filter material and an operating circulation pump. Furthermore the appropriate carrierSysten® dosage cube will be added, along with filter wadding and sponge.

Automatic adapting of the dosage rates to the water chemistry, thanks to the appropriate dosage calendar, e.g. for water plant fertilization.


We are often asked, how it is possible, that the dosage rates from the carrier substance can change automatically and continuously depending on the conditions within the aquarium.The answer is:


It is the effect brought about by the dosage intervals and the relative influence of dosage rates on the water concentration ratio. The higher the concentration of substances, which should be regulated, the less influence the dosage rate has on the concentration development. The lower the concentration, the more the outcome from dosing is determined by the carrier. To sum up, there is an area diagram which shows possible concentrations of different substances. The carrier substance controls the course of these areas and thus ensures that all possible measurements remain within the required concentration parameters, irrespective of how the aquarium is set up.
